Presentations & Posters - useful library material


If you have to present your research or prepare a poster the library has some great resources to help you.

The "Practical skills" series of books provide useful information for poster presentation - check availability

RSC trial of Analytical Chemistry Collection until 31st December 2015



The Royal Society of Chemistry Analytical Science Collection consists of four journals and one literature alerting service.

A trial of these journals runs until 31 December 2015.

To access please click on the name of the journal from the list below or go to Databases A-Z on the library website.

You will need to log in using your library PIN.

Analyst - analytical and bioanalytical research, reporting fundamental discoveries and inventions and their applications. Covers research from analytical chemistry; bioanalytical science; biomedical science; biotechnology; detection science; pharmacy; physics; materials science; and engineering.

Analytical Abstracts - Analytical content from over 100 journals from 1980 to latest update. Updated weekly.

Analytical Methods - Research detailing early applied demonstrations of new analytical methods. Includes pharmaceutical and applied industrial analysis; forensic analysis; environmental and food analysis.

Environmental Science: Processes & Impacts - links the chemical, physical and materials sciences relating to energy conversion and storage, alternative fuel technologies and environmental science.
Topics include solar energy conversion and photovoltaics; fuel cells; hydrogen storage and (bio) hydrogen production; materials for energy systems; carbon capture and storage, and more...

Journal of Analytical Atomic Spectrometry - fundamentals in elemental analysis and isotope ratio determinations within all fields of application.

We have a free trial of the LWW Collection - online journals published by Lippincott Williams & Wilkins, Inc. You have full text access to over 300 journals of this collection.

Full-text access is now available for two new Sports Journals through the library website (library PIN required):

USP-NF Online (US Pharmacopeia) now available @ Library ITT Dublin


The current edition of the US Pharmacopeia is now available online. To access it click on the link below.

USP-NF Online - US Pharmacopeia

Once you log on, be sure to access the User's Manual by clicking on the "Help" link on the introductory screen.
The manual provides helpful tips on how to use USP–NF Online.

The United States Pharmacopeia and The National Formulary (USP–NF) is a book of public pharmacopeial standards.
It contains standards for (chemical and biological drug substances, dosage forms, and compounded preparations), excipients, medical devices, and dietary supplements. 

USP–NF is a combination of two compendia, the United States Pharmacopeia (USP) and the National Formulary (NF).

Please be aware that there is a maximum of one user at any one time so if it is busy then try again later.
